Research
At LBDF, we inform and champion road safety research. This ensures that all of our initiatives are informed by the latest evidence.
In 2021, LBDF received a Commonwealth Grant via the National Office of Road Safety – “Road Safety Innovation Grant” to conduct a 2 year research pilot study into child road trauma. It is the largest study to date to look at why child pedestrian fatalities occur.
The results provide evidence on the causes of these fatalities which is ESSENTIAL for developing better strategies to prevent them.
