The Little Blue Dinosaur aims to ensure that students are fully engaged in our road safety education by encouraging them to explain which roadway behaviours they will actively change as a result of our school presentation.

I used to think: I didn’t need to hold my mum’s hand because the cars could see me.
Now I know: that I need to hold hands with an adult till I am 10.

I used to think: when you were on familiar roads you didn’t need to be as careful.

Now I know: that even on familiar roads unexpected, different things can happen.

I used to think: that road safety was very important
Now I know: that road safety is very important and you have to hold a parent’s hand and press the button to cross at the traffic lights. Don’t ride a bike on the road.

I used to think: you were allowed to walk on the road and not hold a parent’s hand but be very careful.
Now I know: that you have to only cross the road at a pedestrian crossing and you always have to hold a hand.
